MacDONALD, Wayne Douglas - 61, of Birchy Head, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Mary (Sanders) MacDonald, Sackville and the late Arthur MacDonald. Wayne will always be remembered by his wife, mother, brothers and many friends as a kind and gentle man. He was an avid sport fisherman and a Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He retired with many years of service from Canxel, East River, for medical reasons. Wayne had a special spot in his heart for animals and spoiled his cat Tabitha. Besides his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Judy Rose (Harnish); brothers, Allan (Joslyn), Enfield; Barry, Dartmouth; Roger (Kim), St. Croix, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive visitors from 10-11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating.
