MacINTOSH, Donald Bernard - 77, Tantallon and formerly of Halifax, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2005, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Agnes (MacDonald) MacIntosh. Donald worked as a firefighter with the city of Halifax and as an ambulance driver for the VG Site, QEII. Don and his wife also operated the former Ardmore Rest Home in Halifax and for the past 14 years operated the Wine Cellar in Tantallon. Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Purcell; daughters, Deanna, Tantallon; Leslie Sampson, Port Hood; grandchildren, Rebecca Sampson, Port Hood; Keith Sampson, Halifax. Funeral service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Rick Walsh officiating.
