McKINNON, Alexander Archibald - 100, of Halifax, formerly of Boutilier's Point, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax. Born in Sydney Mines, he was a son of the late George and Sarah (McLean) McKinnon. Before his retirement he was an employee of Farmer's Dairy. He was a member of St. Andrew's and St. Mark's United Church, Ingramport, where he served for many years as an Elder and Clerk of Session of the St. Margaret's Pastoral Charge. Alexander was a Navy Veteran of the Second World War, having served on the first "Athabaskan". He is predeceased by wife, Goldie (Beazley); sister, Mary; brothers, William and Robert. Funeral service will take place 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 12, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Kevin Little officiating. Burial to follow in William Black Memorial Cemetery, Glen Margaret. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew's and St. Mark's United Church.
