McNEIL, Edith Cora- 93, of Seabright and a resident of Melville Heights Retirement Home, passed away Friday, January 8, 2010, in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Glen Haven, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Cora (LaPierre) Dauphinee. Edith worked many years with Sears Canada before becoming Seabright Post Mistress for many years. She was also a member of St. Paul's Anglican Church and St. Margaret's Bay White Caps. Edith is survived by brother, Noble (Gloria), Seabright and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Captain Sidney McNeil; brothers, Alfred and Willis; stepsisters, Beatrice and Alica and a number of half-brothers. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating.
