65, of
Tantallon, It is with great sadness we the family of
Marguerite Morris announce her passing peacefully at
home on Monday February 6, 2012 surrounded by her
loving family and friends after a courageous battle
with cancer. Born in Catalone, Cape Breton she was
the daughter of the late William and Mary (Kennedy)
Wadden. Marguerite was a member of the St.
Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish and especially loved
helping family, friends and neighbours. She was an
avid bingo player and immensely enjoyed yard sales
and all minor sporting events and spending time with
her grandchildren. Marguerite is survived by
her husband William; son, Greg; daughter-in-law,
Tanya; grandchildren, Nicholas and Erin; brothers,
Aubrey (Jeanette), Michael (Margie); sisters, Joan
(John Allen), Violet (Alfred); Theresa; Hazel
(Ernie); special nieces and nephews and special
friend, Olive. She was predeceased by her
brothers, Stanley, Tony, Stanley, Reg (Bonnie), Dave
(Mabel), Howard (Pauline), Roddie (Jean); sisters,
Sally, Carmel (Gordon); Doreen (Abbie); Florence
(Howard). Special thanks to Dr. Colwell and
Laverne at the Cancer Center, the VON, Glenna
(Palliative Care) and Dr. Sara Jones.
Cremation has taken place. The family will receive
visitors 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday February 10th in the
Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove
Road, Tantallon. Funeral service 1 pm Saturday
February 11th in St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish,
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1714 St. Margaret’s
Bay Road, Lakeside. Rev. Earl Smith officiating.
Burial to follow St. Margaret’s of Scotland Catholic
Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be
made to QEII Health Sciences Center, Palliative
Care, Halifax.
