NEWTON, Daryl Eric - 26, Fox Point, passed away August 8, 2005, at home. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Eric and Phyllis (Butler) Newton, Fox Point. He was a graduate of NSIT in 2003 from the Mechanical Program. He loved cars and enjoyed spending time with his niece, Ceilidh. He was known for his warmth and gentle personality and always helped others when he could. Surviving, besides his parents, are his sister, Shirley (Cordell) Emerson; grandmother, Frances Butler, Botwood, NL: aunts and uncles, Levi (Gloria) Butler, Joyce (Tony) Confortti, both of Toronto; Wilson (Alice) Butler, Bishop Falls, NL; Jim (Erma) Butler, Connecticut, U.S.A.; Scott (Joan) Butler, Botwood, NL; Sadie (Ken) Williams, Fredericton, N.B.; Paula Newton, Mill Cove; niece, Ceilidh Newton Pierce. He was predeceased by paternal grandparents, Eric Sr. and Shirley Newton; maternal grandfather, William "Bill" Butler; aunt, Patsy Marie Butler. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today with funeral service on Thursday, August 11, at 11 a.m., both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Pastor David Crooks officiating.
