NORWOOD, Daniel Robert - 73, Blandford, passed away peacefully Friday, July 25, 2008, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hubbards, he was the son of the late Robert W. and Ruth C. (Brownie) Norwood. Danny started his career with the Armed Forces stationed in Winnipeg, he worked for years with C.F.S. Mill Cove and before retiring in 1998 he worked as a heavy equipment operator with South Shore Ready Mix. He is survived by his wife, the former Geraldine Elizabeth Gates; sons, Philip (Jill), Chester; Michael (Mary), Deep Cove; brother, Edmond "Ned" (Betty), Hubbards; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob, Jackson, Jadyn, James, Chris, Chelsea and Calum. He was predeceased by his sister, Margo. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Laura McCue officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Barnabas Anglican Church, Blandford.
