PICKREM, Donald Carl - 72, Hubbards, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2008, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late William Edward and Ida (Dauphinee) Pickrem. Donnie worked as a mason for 27 years with the Halifax School Board retiring in 1994. He enjoyed working in his garden and sharing his Captain Morgan with his many friends. He is survived by his wife, the former Evangeline "Vangie" Gates; son, Wade, Sackville; brother, Gerald, Boutilier's Point; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Roy and Ted; sister, Margaret. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead and Rev. George Westhaver officiating.
