PIPPY, Gordon Brenton - Ingramport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, in Palliative Care Unit, the VG Site, QEII, on Monday, March 22, 2004, at the age of 69, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Halifax, November 18, 1934, he was a son of the late William and Shirley (Walsh) Pippy. He worked as a burner service mechanic for 30 years for Cunard's, Irving and Esso. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trips to Florida, his truck, playing his guitar and singing. He was a dedicated member of the Worldwide Church of God, and a faithful servant to his calling. He used his gifts and talents to help others. His warm smile, gentle manner, and witty humor made people feel comfortable in his presence. His generous, unselfish, outgoing love touched the hearts of many. He is survived by his loving wife, Violet (Misner); daughters, Brenda Pippy, Centreville; Crystal MacInnis, Ingramport; Bonita Lucas Crews, Boutilier's Point; and son, Terry, Ingramport; sons-in-law Murray MacInnis and David Crews; grandchildren, Michelle, Douglas, Holly, Jason, Trevor, Diandra and Marina; and great-grandson, Brandon. He is also survived by brothers, William "Billy", Harrietsfield; Gerald "Gerry", Prospect; and sister, Jeannie, Stewiacke. He was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Lavers and Violet MacInnis. Gordon - son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, friend - will be warmly remembered and sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He was The Great Gordo. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, March 25, with a memorial service to be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 26, both in Ronald A.
