PROFIT, Reginald -65, of Boutilier's Point passed away January 5, 2009, in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Montreal, he was the son of the late Freda Profit. Reg served eight years with the Canadian Armed Forces (Navy). He was a driver for several years with Mentions Oil and Snairs Bakery before beginning his career with the former Halifax County School Board as a bus driver, for 21 years. Reg was an active member of his community; he offered as Municipal Council in the former Municipality; was the former secretary of the Seabright Legion and took great pleasure in Gentleman's hockey and served as president for a number of years. When time permitted, Reg and Kay would enjoy camping at River Land Campground, Elmsdale. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen "Kay"; sons, John (Julie), Seabright; William "Woody" (Kathy), Simms Settlement; Greg (Lynn), Salem Arms, B.C.; daughter, Marie (Glen-Skip) Passfield, Boutilier's Point; grandchildren, Jessica, Christian, Ryan, John David, Brooke and Miranda. He was predeceased by his brother, William. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Father Lloyd O'Neill officiating. Family flowers only.
