PUBLICOVER (MacKay), Isabel - 87, Hubbards, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2002, in Shoreham Village, Chester. Born in Earltown, Colchester Co., she was the daughter of the late John and Lillian (Sutherland) MacKay. Isabel was educated at Pictou Academy and earned degrees from Dalhousie and Acadia Universities. She was a highly respected teacher who taught in four counties during her 32 year career. For over 25 years she co-owned and operated the Anchorage Hotel, in Hubbards with her husband Fred. She attended St. Luke's Anglican Church. She is survived by her son, John (Joan), Hubbards; daughter, Ruth (Allan) Dickson, Aberdeen, Scotland; grandchildren, Marla, Daniel, Kate and Sarah. She was predeceased by her husband, Fred (1998); daughter, Cathy (1995); brothers, John and Douglas. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Ronald A Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, December 2, in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Randy Townsend officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bishop's Park Memorial Fund or a charity of choice.
