PUBLICOVER, Vera Marie - 84, Blandford, passed away suddenly October 31, 2003, in Glace Bay General Hospital, Glace Bay, Cape Breton. Born on Little Tancook Island, she was a daughter of the late Rodgers and Alice (Mossman) Levy. Vera was a devoted mother and loving grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. She was an active member of the Blandford Seasiders and enjoyed reading, playing cards and scrabble. Surviving are daughters, Donna (Garth) Boyd, Lower Sackville; Cheryl (David) Schnare, Blandford; Susan (Brad Sorrell) Lord, Blandford; Rhonda (William) Schnare, Blandford; Patti (Perry) Fehr, Preeceville, Sask.; sons, Brian, Port Alice, B.C.; Christopher (Paula Morrison), Blandford; Edward (Cathy), Timberlea; grandchildren, Theresa, Tracey, Stephen, Chris, Chlista, Melissa, Ellen, Rebecca, Sarah, Brenna, Lorie Ann, Tyler, Warren, Katelyn, Carrie, Bradley, and Jessica; sisters, Helen Lockhart, Victoria, B.C.; Gene Wilneff, Glace Bay; brothers, Scott, Little Tancook. She was predeceased by her husband, Laurie Hibbert; sisters, Ierene, Pearl; brothers, Harold, Hughie, Stewart, Morris, and Sinclair. The family will receive visitors 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 4, funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Dan Green officiating.
