PICKREM, Edwin Allen "Ted"- 77, of Hubbards passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 5, 2001 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Montreal he was the son of the late William Edwin and Ida (Dauphinee) Pickrem. Ted was a Veteran of WWII, serving over seas in England, Holland and Germany. He was employed with MTT for 41 years retiring in 1982 as a supervisor and he was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Ted will be well remembered for his carpentry skills by both family and friends. Survived by his wife Gertrude (Myles), Sons; Kenneth (Helen) Bridgewater, Daniel (Marian) Hubbards, Brian (Sue) Halifax, Daughter; Ann (Dennis J.) Dore of Hubbards, brothers; Gerald, Boutilier's Point, Donald, Hubbards, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his sister Margaret and brother Roy. Visitation Saturday 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral Service Monday at 2 PM from St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards. Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society. |
