RAFUSE, Rhoda Garnet- 92, of Halifax, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2009, in Northwood Center, Halifax. Born in Queensland, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Kennedy) Rafuse. Rhoda worked all her life with the Provincial Department of Education and was a member of the Anglican Church of Canada. Rhoda was an avid card and bingo player. She is survived by her sister, Beulah Kennedy; nieces, Barbara Moss; both of Halifax; Lorraine Leadbeater, Timberlea and nephew, Burnald Snair. Predeceased by brothers, Donald, Fred, Amos, Clarence, and Percy; sisters, Gertrude, Ella, Muriel and Laura. The family will receive visitors between 1-2 p.m. Friday, October 23, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. Reception to follow. Burial to be held in St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery, Queensland. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Johns Anglican Church Cemetery, Queensland.
