RICHARDSON, Dwayne Grant "George" - 57, Sims Settlement, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Grand Manan, N.B., he was a son of the late Miles and Verna (McInnis) Richardson. Dwayne was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and enjoyed the love and time with his family. He was employed with Department of Fisheries and Oceans as chief mate for 30 years and worked part-time as a captain for Atlantic Pilotage Authority. A former captain of the Hubbards and District Volunteer Fire Department, St. Margaret's Bay Snowmobile Club and Chester Golf Club. Surviving are his wife, the former Mary Watson; son, Donald (Debbie), Stewiacke; daughters, Sheila (Warren) Schnare, Windsor Road; Shelly (David) Pearce, Gold River; grandchildren, Jeremy, Quintessa, Jeffrey, Justin, Hailey, and Morgan; brother, Brian, Fox Point; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Joyce Wood. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. A committal service will be held Thursday, August 19, at 2 p.m. in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point, Rev. James Green officiating.
