RUPTASH, Patricia Elaine Griffin - Halifax, formerly of Ottawa, died June 20, 2007, in Halifax. She was born March 17, 1932, in Hudson, Que. She is survived by daughters, Jane Kansas, Susan Ruptash (Peter Friedrichsen), Ellen Ruptash, Laura Ruptash (Henry Dressler), and grandchild, Emma Dressler. She was predeceased by her father, Tommy Cecil Griffin (who sailed with Lawrence of Arabia); her mother, Berenice Dolores Grant Griffin Wood (who was born in Sydney, Cape Breton, and mastered Sumi-e painting); and her sister, Colleen Clark (creative genius and bon vivant). Private burial in Pinehill Cemetery, Hubbards. A gathering in honour of her life will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at 1-2678 Fuller Terrace, Halifax. No flowers please.
