RESTIN, Earl Vincent - 67, Hammonds Plains, passed away October 2, 2001, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Elias Anthony and Marie Gertrude (Graves) Restin. Earl retired from the Halifax County Social Services Department with 17 years of service. Survived by his former wife, Evelyn Ruth Restin (Wright); sons, Robert George, Christopher William and Brian Vincent, all of Hammonds Plains; daughters, Catherine Mary (Dennis) MacDonald, Carolyn Anne (Gordon) Thomas, both of Sackville; sister, Shirley (Ronald) Cheverie, Pictou; four grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Anthony whom passed away on the same date in 1990. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. today, funeral service 11 a.m. Friday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Family committal service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association.
