SCHNARE, Donald William - 78, Blandford, passed away August 2, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Blandford, he was a son of the late Selburn and Gladys (Arenburg) Schnare. Donald was a devoted husband and father. Most of his life he was a fisherman, a skilled wood carver and an avid hunter. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. Surviving are his wife, Glennie (Stevens); sons, David (Cheryl), Deep Cove; William (Rhonda), Blandford; daughters, Evangeline (Glenn) Lacey, Hubley; Marilyn (Lawson) Miller, Northwest Cove; Gloria (Darryl) White, Deep Cove; brother, Floyd; grandchildren, Jon David Lacey, Chlista, Melissa Schnare, Benjamin, Jonathan Miller, Daniel, Sarah, Katelyn, Jessica Schnare, Rebecca Gallagher; great-grandchildren, Makayla, Mitchell, Alexander and Ireland Miller. He was predeceased by brothers, Perry and Roland. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. No visitation. Family flowers only.
