
| SCHOFIELD, Florence Mary - 79, Mason's Point, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII, following a long illness. Born in Rose Blanche, NL, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ada M. (Chafe) Ewing. Florence spent her early years in Corner Brook, NL, where she attended St. Henry's School. Upon graduation, she entered nursing school at St. Mary's Hospital in Montreal, Que. She worked in her chosen profession in Corner Brook, where she will be remembered as Dr. T.T. Monaghan's competent office nurse. After leaving Corner Brook, Florence was employed as a nurse in Boston, Mass., and Halifax. She retired in 1987 from Canadian Forces Hospital, Stadacona where she worked for many years as head nurse, in the recovery room. She is survived by her brother, Lance (Tess), Westbank, B.C.; sister, Mary (Frank) Daigle, Boise, Idaho; brother in-law, Harold Woodman, Grand Falls, NL. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by parents, Ernest and Ada Ewing; husband, Lionel; sister, Catherine Woodman. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 23, at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony 's Roman Catholic Church, Hubbards, Father Paul Morris, officiating. Burial in the Catholic Cemetery, Chester.
