SLAUGHENWHITE, Elmore Gertrude - 98, passed away peacefully January 20, 2003, in Seabright Rest Home, Seabright. Born in Lower Northfield, Lunenburg Co., she was the eldest daughter of the late Norman and Laura (Slauenwhite) Slauenwhite. For many years Elmore was an active member of St. Margaret's Anglican Church and a member of the Women's Auxiliary. She is survived by her daughter, L.B. Elaine (Willard) Cavicchi, Upper Tantallon; sister, Margaret Leary, Brantford, Ont.; brothers, Everette St., New Germany; Kendall, Stanley Section; Eric, Bridgewater; Murray, Liverpool; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren and 14 step great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Burton Slaughenwhite; step-grandsons, Mervin, Malcolm, Murdock, Milford and Frederick; one step-granddaughter; one step great-grandson; sisters, Helen, Phyllis, Beatrice; brothers, Douglas, Joseph and John. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Wednesday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Highway 333, Tantallon. Funeral 2 p.m. Thursday in St. George's Anglican Church, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Elmore to the Parish of French Village Scholarship Fund.
