
| SNAIR, James Carl - 67, Queensland, passed away Monday, August 25, 2008, at home. Born in Queensland, he was a son of the late Carl and Vivian (Graves) Snair. James at a young age started working as a fisherman in St. Margaret's Bay and also worked for a few years at the Seabreeze Inn in Queensland. James retired in 1997 from Black and MacDonald. He was a member of the Welder's and Pipe Fitters Union, Local 56, and had received his 45 year pin in 2007. James was also a member of the St. Margaret's Bay Snowmobile and ATV club. He was a former member of the Hubbards Lions Club, as well as the Black Point District No. 1 Fire Department. James was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and ATVing from his camps on Vinegar Lake and Economy Mountain. James was a proud father and grandfather and enjoyed his special times with his kids (the pool dives will always be in the kid's memories). James will be fondly remembered by his family and many buddies for his big heart of gold and gentle nature. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, the former Julia D. Morrow; sons, James (Tanya), Queensland; daughters, Annette (Dan Negus) Brigley, Simms Settlement; Kim (Dave Macaulay), Queensland; Paula (Peter Flemming), Hubbards; brothers, Harvey (Joan), David (Bonnie), both of Queensland; Neil (Helen), Ontario; Bruce (Jodi), Kelowna, B.C.; sister, Virginia (Doug) Purchase, Queensland; grandchildren, Jennifer Brigley, Adam and Lindsay Macaulay, Devin Flemming, Tyler and Ella Snair. He was predeceased by his brother, Clemment Snair, and his dog, Keisha. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, August 28, funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Dorothy Bell officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada.
