SNAIR, Maurice Percival "Morrie" - 74. It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Maurice Snair of Queensland on Saturday, February 6, 2010. Born in Black Point, he was the son of the late Percy and Edna (Brigley) Snair. Maurice, known as Morrie or Joe was an employee of Brookfield Bros., for many years and spent 19 years with G.C. Snair & Son as a Burner Mechanic retiring in 1990. Maurice was also a founding member of Black Point Fire Department. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rita (MacAdams); daughter, Carol Ann (Hugh Townsend), Sims Settlement; brothers, Ronald (Shirley), Timberlea; Douglas (Jackilyn), Queensland; sister, Doris (Burnald) Harnish, Queensland and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sister, Janet. The family will receive visitors from 1-2 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, from Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. Burial will take place at a later date from St. Johns Anglican Church Cemetery, Queensland.
