80, of Boutilier's Point passed
Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax.
Born in Ingramport, he was the son of the late Firman and Nellie
(Manuel) Snair. Albert was a skilled carpenter and worked many years
for the former Colonial Homes in Ingramport. He was an avid outdoorsman,
hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed bowling, playing horseshoes, and,
in his later years, many hours socializing at the Government Wharf. He
is survived by his wife, Veronica (Stevens) Snair; sons, Steven (Alyssa)
Halifax; Kevin (Laura) Hillsborough, N.B.; daughter, Shelley, Dartmouth;
brothers, Eric, Ont.; Malcolm, Hubbards; sisters, Kathleen (Clemeth)
Nickerson; Gwen (Wayne) Brown, both of Ontario; Dorothy Lohnes,
Hubbards; Elizabeth Childs, Halifax; grandchildren, Kristopher and
Alicia. Predeceased by brothers; Byron, Reginald, Clifford, Keith,
Daniel, Arthur and Gordie (in infancy); sister, Evelyn. In keeping with Albert's wishes
his remains have been donated to Dalhousie Medical Research. A
Memorial Service will be held Sunday, 2 p.m. in the Ronald A. Walker
Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Road, Tantallon. Rev. Marjory Cornelius
officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Nova Scotia
Lung Association and/or charity of choice.
