
| SNAIR, Margaret Blanche - 87, of Armview Estates, formerly of Black Point, Halifax Co., passed away Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Armview Estates. Born in Boutilier's Point, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Lillie Belle (Cornelius) Inkpen. Margaret with her husband Granville owned and operated G.C. Snair & Son Plumbing and Heating and the Bizzee Center Lunch Counter in Black Point. She was a founding member of the Ladies auxiliary of Black Point Fire Dept., was life time member of St. Andrews St. Marks United Church and UCW. Also served two terms on the Halifax County, Municipal Council (1969-1973). She was also very active in the seniors happy gang and many other community groups and activities. Survived by sons, Clifford (Norma), Black Point; Vernon (Cathy), New Minas; daughter, Bonita "Bonnie" (David) Slauenwhite, Hampton, N.B.; brother, Lee (Diane), Boutilier's Point; sister, Claudia Hurshman, Upper Tantallon; grandchildren, Stephanie, Lee, Nova, Alison, Christopher, Steven, Michael, Colin and Laura; great-grandchildren, Emily, Nathan and Chloe. Predeceased by her husband, Granville; daughter, Donna; brothers, Foster and Ted. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors today 2-4, 7-9 p.m. in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon and where a memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m., Rev. Beverly Daley officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrews St. Marks Sunday school or the IWK Hospital, Black Point Fire Dept. or charity of choice. |
