| TAPHOUSE, Petty Officer 1st Class Norman Ernest
"Tap", C.D. - 68, Dartmouth. It is with great sadness that we announce the
passing of our husband, father and grandfather, on Monday, May 22, 2006, in QEII
Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Croydon, England, he was a son of the
late Ernest and Elsie (Tew) Taphouse. Norman proudly served the Canadian Armed
Forces from 1956 until 1986. After his retirement he worked with Litton Canada,
also with General Motors in London, Ont. The last several years he worked for
the Corps of Commissionaires. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan; sons,
Peter (Holly) Taphouse, Halifax; Christopher Booth, Quebec; daughter, Shirley
Anne (Paul) MacDonald, Dartmouth; sister, Eileen King, Tweed, Ont.;
grandchildren, Tammy, Stephanie, Shelley, Ashley, Bryanna, Kailey; many nieces
and nephews, Belleville, Ont. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in
Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Mark
Marshall officiating. Burial to follow in St. Paul Anglican Church Cemetery,
French Village. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian
Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. On-line
