UMLAH, Donald Gordon

| UMLAH, Donald Gordon - 70, Queensland, passed away suddenly Sunday, February 3, 2002, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John W. and Annie (Campbell) Umlah. Don spent most of his working life in the Boston area as a salesman, retiring to Queensland, in the early eighties. He enjoyed playing pool, bowling and traveling with his camper van throughout Canada and the United States. His outgoing personality, along with his smile and quick wit, will be remembered fondly by his family and many friends. He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna; stepdaughter, Wendy (Peter) Vigna, Oakville, Ont.; stepson, Terry (Betty) Richardson, Saint John, N.B.; brother, Douglas (Margie) Melburne, Florida; four grandchildren; one great-grandson. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, a celebration of Don's life will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Mark Pretty officiating, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards or a charity of choice. |
