
| WALSH, Leslie Ann -69, of Tantallon, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of Vivian (Sheppard) Whynacht, Halifax, and the late Robert Cutler. Along with her mother, she is survived by her husband, Rev. Richard Walsh; children, Susan (David) Bailey, Robert, both of Tantallon; Jennifer (Trevor) Wadden, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Cutler, William, Tyler, Sarah and Madison; brother, Frank (Grace) Whynacht; sister, Jean (Pete) Blackie, Gander, N.L.; several nieces, nephews, grandniece and extended family. Besides her father she is predeceased by her stepfather, Cecil Whynacht. Leslie was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. She was involved in many church organizations, including St. Peter's Perish Merrymakers, various ACW's and was the last President of the Alexandra Society of Kings College. In previous years she had devoted her time as a Brownie leader and choir mother. She enjoyed gardening, reading, crafts and especially her family. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 20, in St. James' Anglican Church, Boutilier's Point, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Save the Bells Fund, St. George's Anglican Church and/or IWK Health Centre Foundation, Halifax. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
