WESTHAVER, Earl Edwin - 94, Mill Lake, passed away Monday, March 15, 2004, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Fox Point, he was a son of the late Noble and Prudence (Miller) Westhaver. Earl started working in the Lumber Industry at the early age of 13 before becoming a heavy machine operator. He worked for a number of years for Municipal Ready Mix, Sydney. He operated Westhaver Irving in Sims Settlement from 1955-1971 before retiring. He is survived by his wife, the former Beatrice McCelland; sons, Robert (Ritha), Hubbards; Terry (Francesca), Windsor; Lloyd, Halifax; Mark (Margie), Hubbards; daughters, Joanne, Sims Settlement; Nancy, Western Canada; eight grandchildren; a number of great- grandchildren; sister, Beulah Clinton, Chester Basin. He was predeceased by brothers, Guy, Judson, John, Walter and Victor; sisters, Glyde, Aileen, Phyllis, Florence, Rhoda, Gladys and Dora. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Thursday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Green officiating. Committal to be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point.
