WESTHAVER, Rita Marie -75, Fox Point, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully on January 4, 2009, surrounded by her loving family. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, for their care and compassion. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Catherine (Deveaux) LeBlanc (White). She is survived by her son, Walter "Bubs" (Darlene); daughters, Cathy, (Bernard) Manuel; Darlene (Kevin) Hasler; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amanda, Lianna, Randy, Lauren, Troy; brothers, Sylvester (Joyce), Steve (Eileen), Gary (Donna); sisters, Charlotte (Murray) Owen, Jeanette (David) McMullen; long- time friend, Jack Nissen. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; brothers, Wilbert (Barbara), Henry and sister, Bridget (Gerald) Young. Rita was a long- standing member of the Hubbards District Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary for over 40 years and also a very active member of I00F Hubbards Union Lodge M.U. and Lodge of Past Grands, in which she held various offices. Working many years at the Shore Club in Hubbards, Rita was well known for her friendly smile and warm sense of humour. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Friday, January 9, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service to be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 10, in St. Anthony's Church, Hubbards, Father Chinedu Chukwu officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Following the service, the family will receive family and friends for refreshments and fellowship in Hubbards Fire Department, Hubbards.
