WILLIAMS, Rowland Archer "Rolly" - 82, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, December 28, 1922 - August 2, 2005. He was the son of the late George and Frances (Saint John, N.B.). He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather, well-loved and respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Enid (VanBuskirk); daughter, Debby, Bridgewater; sons, David (Alison), Toronto; Peter, Head of St. Margaret's Bay; grandsons, Brychan and Ross, Toronto. He was a veteran (R.C.A.F.); Rolly was a navigator with 61 Squadron R.A.F in the Second World War, "He got'em there and got'em back, every time". He then resumed what was to be a long career with the Royal Bank. He was very active in community affairs in many places he lived. One of his special loves was music and singing. Rolly sang in church choirs for many, many years and especially enjoyed singing in Barbershop choruses in Montreal and Nova Scotia. His other passion was sports, with him enjoying bowling, tennis, golf, curling and cross country skiing. He was also an avid baseball and hockey fan. We wish to thank all the staff of 5 West, Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, for the loving care he received during his stay there. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Sunday August 7, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 8, in St. George's Anglican Church, Head of St. Margaret's Bay. Burial to held in St. Peter's Cemetery, Shoal Bay, Murphy Cove.
