| WOLFE (Snair), Leta E. - 85, Queensland and Halifax, passed away Thursday, August 23, 2001, after a year long struggle with cancer. Born in Mulgrave, she was a daughter of the late Lester and Blanche Hunson. She was a resident of Halifax following her marriage to the late Fred Snair. Leta was an active member of St. John's Anglican Church, Queensland. She was also a member of St. Margarets Bay Chapter No. 40 Order of Eastern Star; former president of Seniors Happy Gang; former president of Halifax County Council of seniors. She is survived by her husband, A. Jack Wolfe, formally of Shad Bay, now living in Halifax and Queensland. She is also survived by her sisters, Minnie Lawrence, Antigonish; Ella Murray, Margaret (Armsworthy) Wrathall, both of New Glasgow; Norma McLaughlin, Stellarton; Marion Read, Truro; brother, Russell Hunson, Sydney; several nieces and nephews; stepson, Albert Wolfe, Greenwood; step-granddaughters, Carol Ferris, Stewiacke; Christine Wolfe, Elmsdale; Mary Munroe, Lower Sackville; step-grandsons, Michael, Jack, Robert, all of Ontario; Richard, Louisiana. She was predeceased by infant sister, Della Hunson. At her request there will be no public visitation, however, a public graveside service will take place in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards, at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, August 26, Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. A private family gathering will be held Sunday 2:30-4 p.m. in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care, V.O.N. or Pine Hill Cemetery. |
