ZINCK, Hazel M. - 92, formerly of Blandford, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2005, in Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth. Born in Aspotogan, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Annie Backman. She attended Provincial Normal College, Truro and her teaching career lasted 20 years. She is survived by her son, Dexter (Florence), Bedford; daughters, Maureen (Norman Ettinger), Toronto, Ont.; Sylvia (Gary Porter), Kingston, Ont.; Alice Jackson, Dartmouth; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Lee Harold (Blandford), author of the book "The Rooster Crows at Dawn"; brothers, Eldon, Bruce, Oscar, Warren, and Basil, and sisters, Beatrice Lewis and Carrie, who died in infancy. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, in All Saints Anglican Church, Bayswater, Rev.
