
| ZINCK, Hazel M. - 92, formerly of Blandford, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2005, in Oakwood Terrace, Dartmouth. Born in Aspotogan, Lunenburg Co., she was a daughter of the late James and Annie Backman. She attended Provincial Normal College, Truro and her teaching career lasted 20 years. She is survived by her son, Dexter (Florence), Bedford; daughters, Maureen (Norman Ettinger), Toronto, Ont.; Sylvia (Gary Porter), Kingston, Ont.; Alice Jackson, Dartmouth; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband, Lee Harold (Blandford), author of the book "The Rooster Crows at Dawn"; brothers, Eldon, Bruce, Oscar, Warren, and Basil, and sisters, Beatrice Lewis and Carrie, who died in infancy. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, in All Saints Anglican Church, Bayswater, Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Family flowers only. Donations in Hazel's memory may be made to Bayswater All Saints Anglican Church Building Fund or a charity of choice.
