ZINCK, Michael Thomas- 61, East Dover, passed away Monday, November 3, 2008, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Balfour and Mary (Brennan) Zinck. Mike worked many years in the fishing industry as a fisherman and broker. He was an avid sportsman; he pitched in the first Olympic softball games held in Halifax (no hitter). He was a dedicated Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Mike was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many. He is survived by his wife, the former Theresa M. Foran; sons, Daniel (Lillian) Provost, Michael (Jennifer) Zinck, both of East Dover; David (Colleen) Zinck, Hackett's Cove; Troy Provost, East Dover; sister, Cathy (Weldon) Zinck, East Dover; son-in-law, Mark Boutilier; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by daughter, Sonya Boutilier; infant sister, Deborah. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 5. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, November 6, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Les Ingram officiating.
