ZWICKER, Patrick Harry "Pat"

| ZWICKER, Patrick Harry "Pat" - 59, Tantallon, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 9, 2001, in the Palliative Care Unit, VG Site, QEII, Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Florence (Ernest) and the late Walter Zwicker. Patrick lived in Indian Harbour during his childhood. He was employed by Cunard Ltd. for 33 years as a Home Fuel Distributor servicing the St. Margarets Bay area and surrounding communities. He was one of the founding members of the Seabright Volunteer Fire Department for 31 years. He retired as a Fire Chief in 1998 and remained a life member to present. Pat was also a member of the Maritime Fire Chief Association. During the time of Fire Chief he was one of the founding members of the Mutual Aid Group. In 1994, the Lions Club had made Patrick Citizen of the Year. Patrick was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Patrick was an avid fisherman, hunter and a friend to all. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Anne-Marie (Slauenwhite) Zwicker; daughter, Holly (Tim) Hubley; son, Gerald (Jodie); grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Morgan and Martin; sister, Elizabeth (Harold) Burke, Janet (Les) Butcher, Dawn (Alister) Fancy, Cheryl (Fred) Kerfont, Susan Hubley; brother, Richard (Carolyn) Hubley. He was predeceased by daughter, April-Marie. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Friday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon, Rev. Mark Pretty officiating. Burial to follow in William Black Cemetery, Glen Margaret. Memorial donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit, 7A, VG Site, QEII. |
