Wade Douglas MacLean

54, of Simms Settlement Passed away Thursday March 3, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Halifax he was the son of Esther (Hamm) MacLean, Hubbards and the late John MacLean. Wade was a carpenter and welder by trade. He was also known as a Jack of all trades; working many hours at his shop at home. Wade enjoyed life to the fullest, enjoying his suds with family and friends at the camp on Vinegar Lake. He will be fondly remembered by his family and many friends as Big Bucks. Survived by his wife Heather Manuel; son, Jonathon (Katelyn), Simms Settlement; brothers, Kim (Bonita); Hal (Margo); Craig (Susan), all of Hubbards; sister, Lynn (Randy) Meisner, Mill Cove; Shelly (Tim) Hubley; Northwest Cove; many sister and brother-laws and many nieces and nephews; Predeceased by his son Joshua Wade in infancy.

Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday in St. Luke’s Anglican Church, Hubbards. Rev. Laurie Omstead officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. John Reinders

60 of Hubley N.S., passed away peacefully at his home on March 7, 2011.  Born February 17, 1951 in Zuidwolde, the Netherlands, he is the son of Harry and Aly Reinders, formerly of Timberlea.  He is survived by his sisters, Shirley and Nancy, as well as many nieces and nephews. John was a devoted husband to his loving wife Sandy, and a wonderful father to his sons Christopher and James.  His kindness and spirit will be forever missed, and never forgotten by all those his life has touched. John enjoyed his younger years with his grandparents in the Valley.  He loved the outdoors, fishing, and “hunting” for mushrooms in the forest - especially when sharing his time with his family and friends. An avid gardener and cook, one would always find John in the summer on his deck in front of his barbeque. He was an employee of the Public Works department for the Government of Canada, and performed his duties as a civil servant diligently and proudly.

 

Visitation will be on 2–4 pm and 7-9pm Thursday March 10th and a Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday March 11 both in the Ronald A Walker Funeral Home 13549  Peggy’s Cove Rd., Tantallon.  Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lower Sackville.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in memory of John. Gary Earl Jollimore

Today I lost my best friend; my husband. Gary, 65 of Timberlea, passed away Wednesday March 9, 2011 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax with all his family at his side. Gary was loved by everyone who knew him and he will be greatly missed. He was the son of the late Merrill and Ida (Boutilier) Jollimore. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna; sons, Tony (Kim); Randy (Donna); both of Timberlea; grandchildren, Ashley, Timberlea; Amanda Smith, West Dover; Derrick Smith (Lakeside); great granddaughter, Hailey Countway, West Dover; sister, Merle Dean (Wayne) Harris, Lewis Lake; Aunt Ida Boutilier, Ocean View; several nieces and a nephew.

The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 pm Sunday March 13th in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 11 am Monday March 14th from St. Andrews Anglican Church, Timberlea. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
