LANGILLE, Gesner Carl - 95,
lifelong resident of Hubbards, passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2006, in the VG
Site, QEII. He was a son of the late William and Ella (Boutilier) Langille. He
was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his
great-niece and caregiver, Marjorie (Mack) Fiander, Boutilier's Point; his
special great great great-grandnephews, Justin, Devon and Cameron, and many
other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Winnie, Mabel and
Susie; brothers, Victor and Charles. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today,
funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral
Home, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating. Burial to follow in Pine Hill
Cemetery, Hubbards. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's
Anglican Church, Hubbards, or The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada. On-line

MacPHAIL, Joseph Ballentyne - 77,
Queensland, passed away Monday, August 21, 2006, at home. Born in Inverness,
Scotland on July 8, 1929, he was a son of the late Thomas Alexander Ingram and
Janetta Elizabeth Wood Milligan (Ballantyne) MacPhail. Joseph was a veteran of
the Korean War while serving with the British Royal Navy in the early 50s. He
then immigrated to Canada and joined the Royal Canadian Navy serving 22 years
and retiring as Chief Petty Officer. He then began a new career with the Off
Shore Oil Expedition in Hibernia succeeding to Drilling Superintendent with
Petro-Canada, and later as a consultant with Husky Oil. He is survived by sons,
Wayne (Gina), Queensland; Craig, West Jeddore; daughter, Joanne, Victoria, B.C.;
grandchildren, Angela, Ian, Jacqueline, Myles, Colby, and Chad; brother, Ian,
Australia; sister, Janetta Tobia, England. He was predeceased by his wife,
Constance. Funeral services have been entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral
Homes. A committal service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, August 26, in Mason's
Point Baptist Cemetery, Head of St. Margaret's Bay, Rev. Richard Moore

HOLDEN, Isabella Louise - 69,
Glen Haven, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax. Born in Corner Brook, N.L., she was a daughter of the late John and
Marie (Shears) Crocker. Isabella graduated as a registered nurse from the
Victoria General Hospital School of Nursing where she was employed for a number
of years. She raised two sons and then returned to nursing after completing a
Psychiatric Nursing Program and worked at the Nova Scotia Hospital in the Day
Hospital and Adolescent Wards. Isabella was also an active parishioner of St.
Paul's Anglican Church and a member of the "Idlers". She is survived by her
loving husband of 45 years, John E.B.; sons, David Edward, Robert Jonathan, both
of Halifax; brother, Dr. John Crocker, Halifax; sister, Norma (Crocker) Hase,
Birmingham, Ala. She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Ann "Banny"
(Crocker) Beckett. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 1,
in St. Paul's Anglican Church, French Village, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating.
Burial to follow in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery, Hackett's Cove. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul's Anglican Church, French

BOUTILIER, Iona A. - 93,
Northwest Cove, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2006, in Harbour View Haven Home
for Special Care, Lunenburg. She was the daughter of the late Lawson and Lydia (Boutilier)
Miller. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is
survived by her daughter, Maxine Finck; grandsons, Randy (Peggy), North
Carolina, and Darren (Liz), Toronto; great-granddaughters, Katelyn and
Christine. She was predeceased by husband, Bruce; son, Lorraine; son-in-law,
Russell; brothers, Seldon, Milford, Chelsea, and Lloyd. Funeral services have
been entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. There will be no visitation or
funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date in Boutilier
Cemetery, Bayswater. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice.
