SHEA, Florence Mary - 85, Head of
St. Margaret's Bay. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of a
beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Florence passed away
on February 1, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Boylston,
she was the daughter of the late Howard and Catherine (Flavin) Hall. She is
survived by her husband of 60 years, Victor; children, Alexander (Betty)
MacPherson, Montague, P.E.I.; Henry (Irene) Shea; Beverley (Reg) Langille;
Marian Shea; all of Head of St. Margarets Bay; Yvonne (Phillip) Hilton, Hubbards;
loving Grammie to 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, the youngest,
four month old namesake, Maya Florence. She was predeceased by her first
husband, Patrick MacPherson; sons, Joseph Jerome MacPherson, Michael Douglas
Shea, Charles Peter Shea, and Gerard Anthony Shea; daughters, Mary Theresa Shea
and Carmel Helena Shea; grandson, Daniel Langille. Her love and devotion to her
family, her positive attitude and steadfast faith were an inspiration to us all.
Her love will live in our hearts forever. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9
p.m. Friday, February 3, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove
Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Anthony's Roman Catholic
Church, Hubbards, Rev. James Richards officiating. Burial to follow in St.
Anthony's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Sims Settlement. In lieu of flowers,

SAULNIER, Edmond Joseph - 63, Halifax, died at home February 3, 2006. He was the son of the late Edmond and Evelyn (Melanson) Saulnier (Saulnierville Station). Eddie was a well-known limousine driver. He worked for Woodís Limousine Service for a number of years. Eddie is survived by his daughter, Susan Elizabeth Saulnier, Moncton, N.B.; sons, Thomas Edward, Medicine Hat, Alta.; Robert Allan, Moncton, N.B. Eddie was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 11 a.m. Saturday, February 11, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggyís Cove Road, Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. GEIZER, Arthur Campbell - Halifax, CPO retired, passed away at the age of 93 on February 6, 2006, in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII. Arthur was a son of the late Foster and Minnie (Holder) Geizer. He was a veteran of both the Second World War and the Korean Conflict. He retired from the Royal Canadian Navy after 25 years service and later spent 15 years working for Canada Permanent Corp. He was a Past Master of Duke of Kent Masonic Lodge and a member of The United Church of Canada. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Jane (Isnor). He is survived by his daughter, Jeanne (Robert) Hubley, Seabright; grandchildren, Libby (Ken) Fralick and Bruce Hubley, and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sisters, Annie (Nan) Geizer and Nita (Willis) Harvey, Halifax, and Marion Kirkwood, Ontario. The family wishes to extend sincere gratitude to the staff of 5 West, Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, for the excellent and loving care given to Arthur during his six years with them. Funeral services will be held in William Black Memorial United Church in Glen Margaret on Thursday, February 16, at 2 p.m. Interment will be in William Black Memorial Cemetery. COOLEN, Albert Reid - 77, Camperdown and
formerly of Fox Point, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2006, in South Shore
Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Fox Point, he was a son of the late
Ellis and Nina (Coolen) Coolen. He is survived by daughter, Barbara Hamill, Fox
Point; nephew, Paul (Ann) Naugler, Camperdown; grandchildren, Kevin and Karen
Hamill, great-grandson, Shawn. He was predeceased by brother, Donald, and
sister, Jean. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker

JOHNSON, Shirley May - 62, West Dover, passed
away Saturday, February 18, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born
in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Morash) Moulton.

Heath Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Indian Harbour, she was a daughter of
the late Seldon and Hazel (Covey) Boutilier. Surviving are her sister, Colleen
(Roy) Wheeler, Corner Brook, N.L.; brother, Raymond, Halifax; nieces, Vola
(Everett Morash), Tantallon; Gladys (Jerry) Brooks, Hatchet Lake; Brenda (Bob)
Jordan, Dartmouth; Carol (Norman) Morash, Dartmouth; Vina (John) Collins,
Parrsboro; Cora (Tommy) Verge, Liverpool; Gail (Bradshaw), Holly and Doreen
Heinz, Timberlea; nephews, Barry and Leon Beaver, both of Halifax; Charles
(Kathy) Boutilier, Rodney (Goldie) Boutilier, Indian Harbour; grandnieces,
Deanna (Norman Herritt) Murphy and family, Charlie and Cecilia Murphy and Amber
Herritt, all of Indian Harbour; Barbara (Guy) Kenndel and their son Travis,
Tantallon; Rosa (Rob) Morash, Sackville, and many more nieces and nephews she
loved dearly. She was predeceased by her brother, Karl; sisters, Thelma,

ANDREWS, John Robert - 50, Fox
Point, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Lester G. "Dick" and
Florence T. (Westhaver) Andrews. John worked as a fisherman for most of his life
with the exception of a few years he worked with National Harbour Board. John
was also a lifetime honorary member of the Hubbards Fire Department. He is
survived by his wife, the former Roxanne Publicover; daughters, Tatum (Rob),
Dartmouth; Ashley (Ryan), Halifax; grandsons, Drew and Dylan, who were his pride
and joy; brothers, David (Glenda), Fox Point; Ted (Ann), Jonquiere, Que.; Gary
(Linda) and Danny, both of Chester; sisters, Gail (Joe) McInnis, Chester Basin;
Mona (Peter) MacDonald, Fort Erie, Ont. It was John's request that there be no
visitation. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, February 27, in St.
Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating. A committal
service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made

DUNCAN (Fryday), Margery Meleta -
81, Hubbards, passed away February 27, 2006. Born in Black Point, she was a
daughter of the late George and Edythe (Haley) Snair. Margery graduated from
Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing in 1944. Marge was a vibrant member of her
local community. Some of her interests and volunteer service included:
membership of St. Andrews/St. Mark's United Church, Ingramport; Past President
and life member of the UCW, Past Matron of Mystic Star Chapter No. 40 of the
Order of the Eastern Star, Past Secretary of the Canadian Pensioners Concerned,
Past President of the Provincial RCMP Veterans Women's Association, a founding
member and Past President of the Black Point Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary,
Past President of the Black Point Home and School Association and a lifelong
Progressive Conservative. Margery was actively involved in the management and
operation of her family's business (George O. Snair Limited). She was an
independent owner and operator of 16 rental cottages in Black Point for over 30
years. She was predeceased by first husband, Albert Fryday, and second husband,
Orval Duncan; brother, Gerald Snair, and grandson, Alan Fryday. She is survived
by sons, James (Carol) Fryday, Black Point; Eric Fryday, Coleman's Cove; Rev.
Shaun Fryday, Montreal; Jeffrey (Gloria) Fryday, Halifax; daughters, Maureen
(James) Moore, Ingramport; Nancy (Ken) McBay, Gaspereau; Janet (Eric) Dorey,
Hubbards; Marion (Blaine) Cook, East Chester; sister, Lola Hollingum, Halifax;
stepsons, Bruce (Mary) Duncan, Chateau Village; Gary Duncan, Halifax, and Bob
Duncan, Alberta. She was a loving, caring and supportive nanny to her
grandchildren, Patrick, Lori, Anna, Laura, Bryan, Christopher, Amber, Cody,
Gregory, Peter, Darcy, Carrie, Julia, Rachael, Connor, Christian, and
great-grandson, Jonah. To her family and many friends she always provided love,
encouragement, support and compassion without hesitation. For all those who knew
and loved her, Mom had a wonderful sense of humour, a zest for life and great
respect for others. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, in Ronald A.
Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 3, at 2 p.m. in St. Luke's United
Church, Tantallon, Rev. Marion Innes officiating. A family committal service
will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. Refreshments and fellowship to
follow in Black Point Firehall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, St. Marks United Church Cemetery
