THOMPSON (Mason) Ruth E.
THOMPSON (Mason) Ruth E.- 75, formerly of Hubley Mill Lake Road and Boutilier's Point, died Friday, January 9, 2004, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Upper Tantallon, she was a daughter of the late Russell and Edith (Smith) Mason. Ruth was an Avon representative, she loved to knit and travel as well as hunt, fish and camp with her husband. She is survived by her son, Morton (Liz), Boutilier's Point; daughters, Isabel (Keith) Dauphinee, Glen Haven; Donna (David) Randall, Hacketts Cove; grandmother to Josephine, Cindy, Rachiel, Kimberlea, Pattie, Stephen, and Alan. Nan will be sadly missed by her great-grandchildren, Isabel, Brandon, Kylee, Jax, Jarret, Cameron, Cody, and Jessica; nieces, Leanna, Christine, and her aunt, Ivy. She was predeceased by her husband, James (Jim) Mason; sister, Helen Kettner. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall, officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her name to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada or IWK Health Centre Foundation. SNAIR, Raymond Joseph
SNAIR, Raymond Joseph - 58, Black Point, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2004, as a result of a workplace accident in Toronto, Ont. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Harry and Leola (Dauphinee) Snair. Ray was a hard worker, and worked for the airlines for 27 years. He lived an active lifestyle, loving his family, camp, boating, Harley, four wheeler, friends, and most of all enjoyed time well spent with his granddaughter. He will be loved and greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Brewer; son, Scott, Boutilier's Point; daughter, Tanya (Adam) Pelley, Boutilier's Point;
granddaughter, Brooke Pelley. He was predeceased by his brother, Donald. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, funeral service 11 a.m. Wednesday, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Highway 333, Peggy's Cove Road, Tantallon, Pastor David Crook officiating. Burial to follow in Black Point Baptist Cemetery, Black Point. WOOD-CROSSMAN, Carol Ann
WOOD-CROSSMAN, Carol Ann - 46, Tantallon Woods, passed away January 30, 2004, at home. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late Rex G. Wood and Betty A. (Bill) Tracy, Sackville, N.B. Carol enjoyed traveling. She moved to the Yukon at the age of 20, then moved back to Nova Scotia to be with her family. Carol started at the Nova Scotia Hospital in charge of Postal Services and then created a new job for herself at QEII Health Sciences Centre in charge of courier services. Carol was a team member for the last seven years and one of the first paddlers for the Bosom Buddies. With this amazing group, so many
wonderful friends had entered into Carol's life and they all provided so much strength, love and camaraderie. Surviving are her husband, David H. Crossman; brothers, Frederick R. Wood, Oxford; Robert Wood, Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Linda A. Trenholm, Kentville; nephews, Stephen Wood, Dana and Adam Trenholm. She was predeceased by her nephew, Darren Wood. A celebration of Carol's life will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bosom Buddies c/o Betty Macdonald, 127 Thistle St., Dartmouth NS B3A 2V6.
