MacLEAN, Susie Eva
MacLEAN, Susie Eva - 85, Hubbards, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2004, at home. Born in Hubbards, she was a daughter of the late Neil and Eva (Tibert) MacLean. Susie was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and at one time was a member of the I.O.O.F. M.U. Susie spent most of her life in Hubbards with the exception of four years as an employee of the National Revenue, Ottawa and 12 years accompanying her husband on several postings abroad which included Ottawa, Jamaica, Switzerland, Norway and England. Surviving are her husband, Russell; son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Rosewitha and a number of nieces and nephews along with a number grandnieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Annie, Mona, Edna, Beulah; brothers, N. Charles and Donald. The family will receive visitors Tuesday 7-9 p.m. with funeral service Wednesday 11 a.m., both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating. A family committal will be held at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of choice. MORASH, Douglas Percy
MORASH, Douglas Percy - 92, Glen Margaret, passed away Friday, June 11, 2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Indian Harbour, he was a son of the late Richard and Lillian (Blakeney) Morash. Doug drove taxi for over 50 years in Halifax and Dartmouth areas. He also operated a trucking business and worked the docks as Longshoremen for many years. Doug was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also so enjoyed dancing and playing cards when ever the time would permit. He is survived by sons, Doug (Joan), David (Cecelia), all of Glen Haven; Richard (Lorna), Ronnie (Marlene), Glen Margaret; Jerry, Victoria, B.C.; daughters, Joan Burchell, French Village; Lynn (Francis) McLellan, Brookside; brother, Earl, Tantallon; sister, Doris (Bubbles) Zinck, Hackett's Cove; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Edith M. Holland; brothers, Tom and Abe; sister, Marg. Visitation 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral Tuesday at 11 a.m. in St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hackett's Cove, Rev. Tom Kerr officiating. Burial to follow in the church cemetery. FOREN, Laurence Charles "Larry"
FOREN, Laurence Charles "Larry" - 74, Hubley, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late John and Ada (Pace) Foren. Larry retired from Humpty Dumpty Foods Ltd. in 1996 as a sales agent. He was a founding member and past president of the Bay Road Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, the former Doreen Leaman; sons, John, Prospect; Eric (Janice), Tantallon; grandson, Chase; granddaughter, Shanda. He was predeceased by brothers, Fred and Roy. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request.
