MILLER, Helena Rose - 85, Northwest Cove, passed away June 2, 2005, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Owls Head Harbour, Eastern Shore, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Josephine (Logan) Levy. She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Stevens, British Columbia; grandchildren, Dana, Natasha, James, Charlotte; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Joseph Benjamin; brother, Chester Levy, Dartmouth; sisters, Hattie Burgoyne, Truro; Bertha Eddie, Murphy Cove; Gloria Cunningham, Halifax; Vera Perry, Lower Sackville. She was predeceased by her husband, Milford; brothers, Malcolm, Lawrence, Harold, Carl, Earl; sisters, Gertrude, Kathleen and Idella. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 p.m. Monday in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church, Northwest Cove, Rev. BINNS, Dorothy - Halifax, passed away peacefully Friday, June 3, 2005, in Berkeley Retirement Residence, Halifax. Born in Yorkshire, England, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Kettlewell) Sharp. She is survived by her son, Christopher (Donna), Boutilier's Point; granddaughter, Judith Ann (Duane) Yeomans, Hammonds Plains; grandson, Michael, Toronto; great-granddaughter, Kate, Hammonds Plains. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Winston. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home. A family service and committal will be held at a later date. JOLLYMORE, Lionel Sinclair - 83, Mill Cove, Lunenburg Co., passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Shoreham Village, Chester. Born in Mill Cove, he was a son of the late Granville and Vernie (Harnish) Jollymore. He is survived by his brothers, Ralph, Mill Cove; Ernest, Halifax, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Marguerite, Flossie, Vivian, Flori; brothers, Gilbert and Gerald. Visitation will be held today 7-9 p.m. with funeral on Friday at 10 a.m., both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating. Committal will follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point. EDELL (Norton), Nancy - Born in Omaha, Neb., November 12, 1942, died at home in Bayswater on the evening of Thursday, June 9, 2005. She was the daughter of the late Helen and Clayton Norton. She is survived by husband, Peter Walker; son, Gabriel Edell; daughter-in-law, Sarah, and granddaughter, Hyancinth; sister, Jan Weidenhammer and nieces, Molly and Nina; stepson, Jesse Walker, as well as an aunt and cousins. She will be deeply mourned by her family, her friends and the art community to which she so greatly contributed. Her humour, generosity and vibrancy cannot be replaced. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. A celebration of Nancy's life will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, in North Street Church, Halifax, 5657 North St. (corner of Fuller Terrace). In keeping with the spirit of Nancy's life, her death will be celebrated with shared memories, drumming, food and booze. CHRISTIE, Muriel Thelma - 87, Boutilier's Point, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 22, 2005, in Melville Lodge, Halifax. Born in Hackett's Cove, she was the eldest daughter of the late Oliver and Hazel (Richardson) Covey. Muriel was an active member in all aspects of community affairs. She was a leader of St. James Girls Auxiliary, treasurer of St. James' Anglican Church, member of St. Margaret's Bay White Caps and honorary member of St. James A.C.W. Muriel loved to travel, enjoyed bowling, bingo, and best of all loved a good joke and a competitive game of cards. Her door was always open for a party and she loved to share her home for those who needed a place to sleep and a good home-cooked meal. Muriel took great pleasure in her needlework and loved to share her creations with friends and family. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth; grandson, Phillip (Caroline), Saint John, N.B.; granddaughter, Nancy Anne (Chris) Foran, Stillwater Lake; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Jemma, and Lilla; sister, Eleanor, Indian Harbour; brothers, Rufus and Walter, Hackett's Cove; many nieces and nephews. Muriel was predeceased by her husband, Howard; son, Leslie, sister, Marjorie Howatt, and brother, Wilfred. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service 11 a.m. Friday in St. James' Anglican Church, Boutilier's Point, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating.
