away Thursday, March 2, 2006, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Blandford, he was the son of the late Ervine and Effie (Cleveland)
Young. He is survived by son, Calvin (Joan), Bridgewater; sisters, Audrey
Harlow, Oromocto, N.B.; Jean Hamilton, Ontario, and grandson, Matthew, Fox
Point. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen "Kay"; grandson, Kyle, and
granddaughter, Lisa. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 7,
in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Burial
will follow in Baptist Church Cemetery, Blandford. In lieu of flowers, donations
can be made to the Blandford Community Centre or Blandford Fire Department.

ZINCK, Lionel Cecil - 70, West Dover, Halifax
Co., passed away Friday, March 3, 2006, at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son
of Violet (Morash) Zinck and the late Basil Zinck. Besides his mother, he is
survived by his wife, the former Sandra Cleveland; sons, Wayde (Sheila),
Alberta; Michael (Joanne), Gregory (Connie), Terry, all of Nova Scotia;
daughter, Colleen Casch, Alberta; stepchildren, Donald Aulenback, Mary (Earl)
Dick, Connie (Lorne) Kovack, Karen (George) MacLean, Sandra (Kelvin)
Summerfield, all of British Columbia; Gordon Aulenback, Angela (George) Murphy,
Pamela (Paul) Hunter, all of Nova Scotia; brothers, Kenneth (Sandra), Keith;
sisters, Rhoda MacDonald, Marion (David) Bennett, Maureen Publicover, Thelma
McKinnon; 32 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Besides his father Basil,
he was predeceased by brother, David; sons, Brian and Terry. Cremation has been
entrusted to Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. It was Lionel's wish that
there be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the

MacLEAN, Ralph Ansley - 62, Hubbards, passed
away Saturday, March 11, 2006, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.
Born in Hubbards, he was a son of the late Lionel and Margaret (Dauphinee)
MacLean. He is survived by brother, Lionel Jr. (Helen), Hubbards; also many
nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces. Cremation has taken place under
the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. A private committal will be in
Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards.
PAYNE, Freda Ellen Ethel - 93, French Village,
passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2006, in Melville Lodge, Halifax. Born in
London, England, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Ethel Bevis.
Surviving are her loving husband of 50 years, Robert; daughter, Adrienne
(Gordon) Vandyke, Vaughan, Ont.; sister, Iris Bird, Florida; grandchildren, Ian
(Emmaline) Vandyke, Toronto, Ont.; Karen (Robert) Lanni, Vaughan, Ont. She was
predeceased by sister, Hilda, and first husband, Alec Dewdney. Cremation has
taken place under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. A memorial

PACE, Shirley Cecelia - 79, Timberlea, passed
away March 17, 2006, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. She was the
daughter of the late Simon and Nancy LeFort. Mom was a cub leader for many years
in Timberlea and worked at Sears for a time. She is survived by her daughter,
Nancy (Mrs. Lorrie Young), Lower Sackville; sons, Allan (Valarie), Tantallon;
Tim (Karen), Lower Sackville; brother, Elverson (Margette LeFort), Oshawa, Ont.;
six grandchildren and one great-grandson. She was predeceased by her husband,
Roy; twin sons, Roy and Joey, and brother, John. Visitation will be held 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Sunday, March 19, in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove
Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday in Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic Church, Timberlea, Rev. Jim Richards officiating. Family burial

DOREY, Herbert Almon "Herbie" - 82, passed away
Sunday, March 26, 2006, in Camp Hill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax.
Born in Hubbards, he was a son of the late Almon and Jemima (MacLean) Dorey.
Herbie was a retired brakeman with the Canadian National Railways. He served his
country overseas with the West Nova Scotia regiment during the Second World War.
He was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards. He was an avid hockey
and ball player, and was always a faithful Toronto Maple Leafs fan. He is
survived by his loving wife, the former Nancy Miller; sister, Cathy (Vic)
Steele, Halifax; brothers, Tom, Hubbards; Daniel (Olive), Fox Point; Arnold
(Anne), Abbotsford, B.C.; a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by
sisters, Audrey Campbell and Shirley Beeler. Visitation will be held today from
2-4 p.m. in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be
Wednesday at 2 p.m. in St. Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene
officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, Hubbards. In lieu of

BOUTILIER, James Almon - 87, Tantallon, passed
away Monday, March 27, 2006, in the New Halifax Infirmary, Halifax. Born in
Tantallon, he was a son of the late Angus and Margaret (Noonan) Boutilier. Jimmy
worked for 33 years with Lester B. Smith Const. He was a veteran of the Second
World War serving in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany with the Owen Cameron
Highlanders 68 Regiment. He is survived by daughter, Linda, Amherst;
stepdaughters, Sheila (Albert) Doubleday, Tantallon; Edna Jullien, Halifax;
stepson, Frank (Pat) Johnson, Fredericton; seven grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Flora Church;
son, Terry; brothers, Miles and Roy; sisters, Jessie, Josephine, Jean, Nellie,
Ninara, and Lettie. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday in St.
Margaret's Anglican Church, Tantallon, Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Burial to

VAUGHAN, Margaret Marion - 78, Halifax, passed
away Thursday, March 30, 2006, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in
Corner Brook, N.L., she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Cora (Harvey)
Macdonald. Margaret grew up in Botwood, N.L., graduating from Bishop Spencer
College, St. John's, N.L., and shortly thereafter she began a nursing program in
St. John's. While at home on summer vacation she met her late husband Thomas,
who was working with the Bank of Montreal in Botwood at that time. Margaret
changed from nursing to being a loving wife and mother. Tom's work with the bank
took him and Margaret to many communities around the Atlantic Provinces.
Margaret was faithful to her church, involved in the A.C.W., the Altar Guild and
choir in St. Mary's, Chatham, N.B.; St. Peter's, Birch Cove; Holy Trinity,
Yarmouth; Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax. She was an avid bridge player
and enjoyed holidays at their summer residence at Bay du Vin, Miramichi, N.B.
Margaret did casual work over the years in many branches of the Bank of
Montreal. In 1969 she started working full-time with the bank, retiring 19 years
later. She was a proud and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and
family gatherings were always her most treasured times. She is survived by sons,
Henry G., Halifax; Rev. Canon Kenneth (Barb), Annapolis Royal; son-in-law, Clyde
(Lynne) Evans; grandsons, Rev. Thomas (Rev. Krista Hilton), Douglas, Tim (Kim),
Scott, Jeff, and Danny; great-grandson, Cole; sister, Kitty Jewers, Botwood. She
was predeceased by husband, Thomas Allan; daughter, Helena; brothers, Kenneth
and Donald; sister, Mona. Cremation has taken place under the direction of
Ronald A. Walker Funeral Homes. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held 11
a.m. Saturday, April 8, in Cathedral Church of All Saints, Halifax, Right
Reverend F.J. Hiltz, assisted by Right Reverend Sue Moxley and Very Reverend
Glen Burgomaster. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cathedral Church
