STEVENS, Lloyd George Aaron - 91, Halifax, formerly of Boutilier's Point, passed away Friday, May 16, 2008, in Northwood Centre, Halifax. Born in Mill Cove, he was a son of the late Arden and Flossie Stevens. Lloyd was a foreman with the Department of Highways for 23 years. His passion was his plum orchard, hunting, fishing and card playing. He was an active member of St. Andrew, St. Marks United Church, Ingramport. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Erna (Ramey); sons, Wayne, Halifax (Kathy, Ontario); Larry (Chris), Hubbards; daughters, Veronica Snair, Halifax (Albert, Boutilier's Point); Jeanette (Bill) Thorne, Boutilier's Point; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by brothers, Victor, Roderick and Oliver; sisters, Jennie, Ruth and Opal. Visitation will be held Monday, May 19, 1-4 p.m., and funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Dorothy Bell officiating. Interment to follow in St. Andrew, St. Marks United Church Cemetery, Queensland. Family flowers only. Donations to Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of choice. PAQUIN, Doria Joseph "Doe" - 81, Bayswater, cherished husband of Dorothy, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday, May 18, 2008, in Shoreham Village Seniors Home, Chester. "Doe", as he was known, was born in St. Michel des Saints, Que., one of nine children to William and Regina (Leblanc) Paquin. Doe will be remembered for his great sense of humour and for his loyalty as a husband, father and friend. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, reading, billiards, a good game of cribbage and jigsaw puzzles. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy Kathleen (Chew), and his eldest daughter, Debra Paquin; granddaughter, Megan Leslie, and son-in-law, Allan Leslie. He was predeceased by his youngest daughter, Susan Leslie. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, in Chester United Baptist Church, Chester, Rev. Dan Green officiating. Doe's family wishes to thank all the personnel on the Alzheimer Wing and the administrative and support teams at Shoreham Village for their compassionate care. LeGALLEY, David Charles - It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden passing of David Charles LeGalley, 52, at his home in Glen Haven on May 23, 2008. Born in Sudbury, Ont., he was the son of Hudson LeGalley, Southbranch, and Anita LeGalley, Glen Margaret. David grew up on St. Margaret's Bay and spent many happy hours fishing in the cove. David worked for many years as a burner mechanic and later with J.R. Executive Design and Boutilier's Quality Finishes. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with friends. His family was his life. He leaves behind his parents; his wife of 32 years and best friend, Sharon (Dauphinee); his son, Jonathan (Marion); daughter, Kandace (Adam); and his adored granddaughters, Clarissa and Emily; sisters, Bonnie (Ron), Tammy (Barry), along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and in-laws. He will be missed by granddogs, Piper and Brody. He was predeceased by his grandparents, and sister, Kim. He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family and many friends. At the request of the family there will be no visitation. Cremation to follow. A service celebrating David's life will be held Tuesday, May 27, at 11 a.m. in Ronald Walker Funeral Home 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Family flowers only. DOCKRILL, Douglas Colin -  76, Seabright, passed away May 27, 2008, in the QEII Health Sciences Center. Born in Great Village, he was the son of the late Harold and Mary (Matheson) Dockrill. Dougís abundant creativity manifested itself through his paintings and gardening, though it was with his velvet tenor voice, and many dedicated years with the Chebucto Community Singers and the Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo Choir that his real passion found a home. He is survived by his wife, Dawn (Mount); sons, Colin and Peter, and granddaughter, Kaitlyn. He was predeceased by his sister, Joan Goldfinch. An artistic retrospective and reception will be held Friday, June 6, from 3-5 p.m. in the St. Margaret's Bay Sailing Club, Croucherís Point Road, Glen Haven. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Vivace Childrenís Choir, 72 Saskatoon Avenue, Halifax, NS B3M 3H7
