ISNOR, Edgar Pearlice
ISNOR, Edgar Pearlice - 85, Halifax, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004, in
the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Indian Harbour, he was a son of the
late Aubrey and Alena (Richardson) Isnor. Edgar was a veteran of the Second
World War, working many years in Halifax as a longshoreman and a taxi driver. He
is survived by a son, Gary P., Toronto; daughters, Paulette Watson, Toronto;
Jocelyn A. (Karl) Oraniuk, Stratford, P.E.I.; brothers, Roland, Indian Harbour;
Gordon (Florence), East Dalhousie; sister, Vella Chalker, London, Ont.; three
grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers,
Howard and Gilbert; sister, May. Funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m.
in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Pastor

BOUTILIER, Wilson J.F. Jr.
BOUTILIER, Wilson J.F. Jr. - 39, Halifax, formerly of Seabright, passed away
September 2, 2004, in Halifax. Born in Seabright, he was a son of Wilson and
Eileen (Morash) Boutilier, Seabright. Wilson was a talented artist and took
great pleasure in painting, carving and woodworking. He enjoyed volunteering his
time, particularly with his uncle Mel at the Parker St. Furniture Bank. He was
also an avid sport fisherman. Besides his parents, he is survived by sisters,
Isabel Thomson and Darlene Boutilier, both of Seabright; cousins, Foster (Ducie)
Boutilier, Tantallon, and Stephen Boutilier, Seabright, who where raised as
brothers; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a
sister, Mona; his aunt and uncle who raised him as a son, Foster and Lorraine
Boutilier. Visitation will be held today 2-4, 7-9 p.m. with funeral service
Monday at 2 p.m., both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd.,
Tantallon, Pastor Pedro Gracas officiating. Burial to follow in William Black

MACKENZIE, Dolly Madeline
MACKENZIE, Dolly Madeline - 74, Tantallon, passed away Sunday, September 12,
2004, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter
of the late Alfred and Jessie (Angevine) Bardsley, survived by her good friends,
Bill and Geraldine Jollimore, Tantallon. Cremation has taken place under the
direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Funeral mass will be held
10 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lakeside,
Father Jim Richard officiating. Burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Sackville.

HOBEN, Harvey
HOBEN, Harvey - 60, Hubbards, formerly of Hamilton, Ont., passed away after a
courageous battle with brain cancer September 23, 2004, in the VG Site, QEII,
Halifax, surrounded by his loving wife, family and friends. Born in Frenchmans
Cove, NL, he was the son of Elsie (Myles) Hoben and the late Frank Hoben.
Surviving are his wife, the former Shirley D. Rhyno; son, Frank (Carrie),
Caledonia, Ont.; daughter, Dianna (Martin) vonGemmingen, Brampton, Ont.;
brother, Lloyd, Port Franks, Ont.; sisters, Margaret Hinchliffe, Edmonton,
Alta.; Ledona Digout, Bedford; grandchildren, Victoria, Max, Noah and Ben. The
family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Ronald A. Walker
Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday in St.
Luke's Anglican Church, Hubbards, Rev. Jim Greene officiating. In lieu of

ASLIN (MacLeod), Dorothy Ann
ASLIN (MacLeod), Dorothy Ann - Dorothy passed away on Sunday, September 26,
2004, in Halifax. She was a daughter of the late John W. and Margaret (Ross)
MacLeod (New Glasgow). Dorothy received her early education in New Glasgow,
later attending Netherwood, New Brunswick and Dalhousie University, Halifax. She
began her teaching career at Clark Rutherford School at HMCS Cornwallis in 1959.
In 1960, she moved to Hampton Grey School at CFB Shearwater where she remained
until her retirement. She was a dedicated teacher who was well-loved by her
students. Dorothy's summers were spent at the cottage in Melmerby Beach. She
always referred to it as "my little bit of Pictou County" and treasured her time
there. After her retirement, she spent a number of winters with her daughter Ann
and family in the Caribbean. Dorothy was a lifelong Progressive Conservative, an
animal lover, an avid reader and crossword puzzle fan and a true friend to many.
She will be missed. She is survived by daughter, Ann Redt; grandchildren,
Kimberly and Jean Paul Redt; sister, Mary; nephews, Bill and Donald MacLeod and
Bruce Thompson. She was predeceased by brothers, Alexander and John MacLeod. A
service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Monday, October 4, at 2 p.m.
in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Jim
Forbes officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capital
Health Foundation - Palliative Care Unit or Bide Awhile Animal Shelter, 12 Eaton
Ave., Dartmouth. Family burial at a later date.
