CRAWLEY (Lane), Gwendolyn Anne Katherine Helen 72. It is with tremendous sadness we announce our beloved mother passed away peacefully in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII on Saturday, September 4, 2010. Mom leaves behind her devoted children, Ronald Jr. (Wanda), Middle Sackville; Marlene Robichaud (Robert), Timberlea; Denise Bucciarelli (Nino), Tantallon; Richard (Margie), Truro; her cherished grandchildren, Erin, Andre, Matt, Carlina, Marissa, Abbey, Matthew, Justin and Lindsay; her treasured siblings, Tom White (Leila), Walter, Robert (Marlene), Donna Anctil (Bob), Derek (Heather), David (Sharon), Diane Hardy (Ed) and Patricia Roy (Peter); many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. Mom was a loving and generous woman who worked tirelessly our entire lives alongside our dear Dad to provide for us. Her greatest joy in life was her family, her garden, her guitar, her church and her adored little car that provided her the freedom in her later years to enjoy all of these things. Mom was an active member of the St. Marguerite Bourgeoys' Catholic Women's League and was very proud to be able to contribute to their many causes. Mom fought a long and painful illness with tremendous courage, strength and dignity. Her love and devotion to her family and faith was an inspiration to all who knew her and she will be dearly missed. Mom was predeceased by our Dad, her husband of nearly 50 years, Ronald G. Crawley Sr.; five-year-old daughter, Debbie; parents, Walter and Dorothy Lane; many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Sincere thanks to the nurses of 7.2 Infirmary for the kind and considerate care you bestowed upon our mother, and deep heartfelt gratitude to the many family and friends who visited, wrote and phoned these last eight months helping us to ensure Mom was seldom alone during her long ordeal. Service to be held 2 p.m. Friday, September 10 in St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Catholic Church, 1714 St. Margaret's Bay Rd., Timberlea, Father Joe MacKinnon officiating. Reception by the CWL to follow in the church hall, all are welcome. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Tantallon. Cremation has taken place, no visitation. PUBLICOVER, Phillip Harry “Chippy”- 52, of West Dover passed away Monday September 6, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in West Dover he was the son of Audrey F. (Morash) Publicover, West Dover and the late Clovis H. Publicover.
Survived by his son Gregory, Alberta; granddaughter, Grace “Girly”; brothers, Foster “Bruddy” (Pauline), West Dover; sisters, Mabel (Steven) Francis, Hubbards; Carol (Wade Kirby), West Dover.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home. A family committal service will be held at a later date in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, West Dover. McEACHREN, Cecil Carleton — 74, Boutilier's Point, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2010, at home. Born December 24, 1935, in Boutilier's Point, he was a son of the late Donald and Eunice (Eldershaw) McEachren. He worked at Nova Scotia Power as a lineman for 36 years, retiring in 1990. He was an avid woodsman, enjoying ATVing, hunting and fishing at his camp. He also enjoyed gardening and rooting for his favorite team, the Detroit Red Wings. He delivered Meals on Wheels and was a member of St. James' Anglican Church. He will always be remembered for his gentle manner and kind personality. Surviving are his wife, Clarice (Boutilier) of 51 years; daughters, Valarie Hilchey, Seabright, and her children Jenna and Blake; Judith McEachren, Spryfield, and her daughter Tara-Lynn Hilchey; sons, James (Donna), Queensland, and their son Jeffrey Wilnoff (Diandra Lucas); Dana (Susan Blois), Glace Bay; great-grandchildren, Brenton and Lacey Wilnoff. Also surviving are brothers, Lester (Barbara) and Harry, both of Boutilier's Point; many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Carl, Duncan, and Gordon in infancy. Visitation will be Sunday, September 12 from 6-8 p.m. in Ronald A. Walker's Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd. A memorial service will be held in St. James' Anglican Church in Boutilier's Point on Monday, September 13 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Our family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of QEll Palliative Care Service, Dr. MacLean and staff of Hubbards Medical Centre, Hubbards Pharmasave staff, the Victorian Order of Nurses and Northwood Home Care. WHITTIER, Harold W.- 90, Black Point, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 11, 2010, in Camphill Veterans' Memorial Building, QEII, Halifax. He was the son of the late George Clayton and Lillian (Giles), Whittier/Hains. Born in Chester, Mass., he moved to Nova Scotia with his parents as a young boy and was trained in Carpentry by his father in Berwick. Harold joined the Navy during the Second World War and served aboard HMCS Sault Ste. Marie and HMCS Niagara conducting convoy duty in the Atlantic, out of Newfoundland, Halifax and New York. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 44, Chester. Harold was the owner and operator of H. W. Whittier & Sons Building Supplies Ltd., established in 1953 in Black Point. He is survived by his wife, Helen (Richards); sons, Timothy (Joan), Black Point; Daniel (Jamie), Dartmouth; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth D'Angelo, Georgia, USA; and a half-brother, Murray Wentzell, Ontario. Predeceased by his brothers, Millard, Ralph and a sister, Virginia. The family will receive visitors 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 15. Funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday, September 16 both in Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon, Rev. Alfred Woodworth officiating. Clyde Marshall "Jack" - 81, Whynacht's Point, Tantallon, passed away
suddenly on Sunday, September 12, 2010. Born in Halifax on December 4, 1928, he
was the only son of the late Marshall and Mildred (Faulkner) Dauphinee. After
the death of his mother in 1940, he was raised by his grandmother Edith
(Garrison) Dauphinee. He worked for Maritime Photo Engravers for 45 years,
retiring in 1989. He was a former warden of St. Margaret's Anglican Church for
15 years and the first Glen Haven Boy Scout Leader. He looked forward to trips
with his hunting buddies, RV campers and boating in St. Margaret's Bay. Jack
will be sadly missed by his devoted wife of 61 years, Daisy (Daphinee);
daughters, Marilyn (Gary) Meade, Beverley (Edward) DeWolfe and Karen Dares;
daughter-in-law, Germaine Dauphinee; foster daughter, Glenda Gates;
grandchildren, Matthew, Sarah, Tina, John, Jeffery and Christopher;
great-grandson, Hunter and baby to be born on September 19, 2010. Jack was
predeceased by his daughter, Carolyn (1962); son, John Jr. (2005); son-in-law,
Michael Dares (2009); grandhchildren, Aimie and Richard; sister, Jean (Kenneth)
Garrison and half-sister, Violet (Hugh) McMullin. Visitation will be held 7-9
today September 14 and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, September 15 in Ronald A.
Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy's Cove Rd., Tantallon. Funeral service will be
held 2 p.m. Thursday in St. Margaret's Anglican Church, Father Mark Marshall

MUELLER, Roland Walter- 81 of Stillwater Lake passed away on Friday September 17 2010 in the Northwood Bedford West Nursing Home, Bedford, with his family by his side after a lengthy battle with “Lewy Body dementia”. Born in Thuringen, Germany he immigrated to Canada in 1953 to Quebec and later to Nova Scotia. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Marianne (Drabner); sons, Erhard (Donna), Stillwater Lake; Wilfried (Kathy), Pickering, ONT., grandchildren, Kristina (Scott) Manuel, Elmsdale; Erik, Upper Tantallon; Kelly, Brittany & Christopher, Pickering, ONT; great grandsons, Owen & Bentley Manuel, Elmsdale; sister, Ruth, Germany. Predeceased by his parents; three brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Tuesday September 21st in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Tantallon. Rev. PARIS (Cleveland), Carolyn Elizabeth Diane - 62, of Dartmouth formerly of Colemans Cove passed away on Saturday September 18, 2010 at the QEII Health Sciences Center, Victoria General Site, Halifax. Born in Coleman's Cove she was the daughter of Idella (Awalt) Cleveland, Dartmouth and the late Granville G. Cleveland. Besides her mother she is survived by her three brothers, Barry (Lynn) Cleveland, Calgary Alberta.; Paul (Fern) Cleveland, Lavoy, Alberta; Dennis (Ann) Cleveland, Spryfield; sister, Gloria (Vernon) Graves, Sims Settlement. Carolyn was employed at Northwood Manor in Halifax from January 1978 to May 2007. Her wishes were to be cremated. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Wednesday September 22 from St. Cuthbert's Anglican Church, Northwest Cove (Take exit 6 off Hwy 103 on Route 329 off of Hwy 3 Hubbards). Rev. CORBIN BA, MA, L.th. Reverend Harry Sinclair Parker -88, of Indian Harbour passed away Tuesday September 28, 2010 in Northwood, Halifax. Born in Rawdon he was the son of the late Rev. Parker George and Elise Elizabeth (Rafuse) Corbin. A graduate of the University of King's Collage he held a BA., L Th and a MA. A priest in the Anglican Diocese of Nova Scotia, he was rector of the parishes of Indian Harbour, Mahone Bay, Bedford and Brooklyn; he recently celebrated the 61st Anniversary of his ordination. Survived by his wife of 59 years the former Barbara North; sisters, Elizabeth, LaHave; Edythe (Robert) Bell, Bridgewater; sister-in-laws, Doris, and Phyllis both of Ontario and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his son, Kenneth; brothers, Fred, George, Murray, Robert; sisters, Ruth & Ella; Visitation will be held 4-6pm Sunday October 3rd in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Indian Harbour. Funeral service will be held 2 pm Monday October 4th from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Hackett’s Cove with the Rt. Rev. Susan Moxley officiating. Assisted by Rev. Anna Hoeg and Rev. Mark Marshall. Committal will be held 10am Tuesday October 5th in St. John’s Cemetery, Halifax. Family flowers only.
